Kaula Pork with Cabbage


Our friend brought over Kaula Pork to our BBQ, with one sniff, one bite; the taste and flavor literately took me back to Hawaii. Right there and then I had to found out this recipe, who would have known it only consist of 3 ingredients. WHAT??? Yes, only 3.

Later, we were left with only half eaten Kaula Pork, so I decide to turn this leftover into another wonderful meal.

If you love Hawaiian food, this is for sure THE recipe to try. Please enjoy!

Kaula Pork
Ingredients:
3lb Butt Roast
1 tablespoon of Red Hawaiian Fine Sea Salt
5 slices of Bacon

Direction: 
1.       Lined slow cooker with 5 slices of bacon 
2.       Salt roast all over, place roast skin up. 
3.       Cover and let it cook in low for 12 hours. Once it’s done, shred and ready to serve with some Hawaiian dinner roll or rice.

Kaula Pork with Cabbage
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 head of Cabbage, thinly sliced
3 cloves minced Garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste

Direction: 
1.       High oil in medium high heat, add in garlic and cook for 30 second then add in cabbage. 
2.       Cook cabbage for few minutes, add salt and pepper to taste. 
3.       Lately add in shredded kaula pork. Cook for few minutes and ready to serve.
