Vegas Baby - Part 1

(foods & misc) ***Pics heavy**

It has been 3 years long since both Chris and I were in Vegas together. Even though, I was in Vegas 2 year ago for a bachelorette trip, still feels like forever long ago. Vegas should be an annual getaway, since it’s only a 1 hour flight away. There were so many changes happened last year, with the opening of the City Center Las Vegas, I saw it in construction 2 years ago, and heard so much about this high tech green hotel called Aria. We had to stay there, on top of that what even made this trip more exciting was my first time flying with Virgin America, I’m proud to say: “I’m no long a virgin…YAY!”

Four days in Vegas was plenty of time, we watched 2 shows, shopped, lay out and hung out in the pool, lastly ate and ate and ate!!!

We watched:
1. Jabbawockeez (many thanks to Ren & Duc for our birthday presents)
2. Mystère by Cirque du Soleil

Ate at some yummy for our tummy restaurants:

1. Serendipity 3 at Caesars

Never tried it in New York; first time was with the girls 2 years ago. Had to come back with Chris for their famous Frrrozen Hot Chocolate! We also ordered; Crab Artichoke Dip, Dinosaur Ribs, and ABC (Avocado, Brie, Caramelized Onions) Burger.

2. Planet Dailies at Planet Hollywood
This was our after clubbing meal every night with the girls); I had to bring Chris here to try the infamous Roasted Duck Noodle Soup and Pork Fried Rice.

3. Sushi Roku in The Forum Shops at Caesars
My tummy was craving for sushi one day, we came across this from walking through The Forum shop and about to pass out from hunger. One thing I realized, many restaurants don't open until dinner time, whatsup with that Vegas.
We ordered nothing but sushi, let me just say, it was one of the best meals we had during this trip.
Kobe Beef Takaki
Spider Roll
Spicy Tuna
Spicy Scallops

4. Craft Steak at MGM
I had to fit in a steak meal for Chris. This was one the best steak restaurant on the strip. (I’m a firm believer of yelp.com) Service was wonderful; we were treated like a king and queen. Food was mmm....excellent. Oh and, first restaurant we've seem to serve Silver Oak Alexander Valley by a glass, A+!
Lobster bisque (we shared, they separated into two bowls)
Dry Aged New York Strip

24hrs Braised Short Ribs
Shiitake Mushrooms
Fingerling Potatoes
Chocolate Soufflé with Hazelnut Gelato

5. The Buffett at Wynn
The one and only place I HAVE to eat when I'm in Vegas. You pay for the quality of food and service. But I was disappointed this time, I was looking forward to the delicious, melt in your mouth crème brûlée,
They don't serve it during lunch, I was extremely sadden by the bad news. WHY WYNN, crème brûlée is a much have during every meal.

6. Olives at Bellagio
Olives has the perfect view on the Vegas Strip, is facing the Bellagio fountain. Food was okay, wasn't too crazy about it, we can say we ate there.
Kobe Beef Tartar
Fiery Chicken Sausage Flatbread
Ricotta Ravioli
Braised Beef Shirt Rib

7. Jean Philippe at Aria
A well known pastry chef, opened his second shop in Vegas at Aria Hotel.
Crepe being one of my favorite dessert, I had to order one from there.
Also we got a sandwich as our snack, pretty good too.
If you are looking for a quick snack, give Jean Philippi a visit.
Custom Crepe: fresh strawberries with Nutella
Spice Chicken Panini with pesto

8. Pink's Hot Dog at Planet Hollywood
Chris had to try give this place a try, he got a chili dog.

9. The Buffet at Aria
Our complimentary meal for staying with the hotel. The buffet food itself wasn't that great, but I finally got the crème brûlée I have been craving for, I have to give Aria two thumbs up, it's just as good as Wynn's. Finally on our last day, I was for filled and satisfied because I had my crème brûlée :)

There you have it, a breakdown of what we ate. We had a fantastic time, especially eating at these delicious places.

Stay tuned for Part 2 Vegas Shopping Haul :) (My other love of my life)
