I had THE most wonderful birthday celebration with Chris. Thanks honey!
Agenda:
1. 2007 Silver Oak Alexander Valley release event
This was both of our first time attending a wine release event. We were of course fashionably late (more like I was and the traffic getting into Napa), got there 2 and a half hours before end of the event. There were endless wine tasting, (btw…if you don’t already know Silver Oak is Chris’ fav wine of all times.) pizza from many different local vendors, wine signing from the wine maker himself Daniel H. Baron, music, and last but not least the most beautiful California weather.

Namu is a family run neighborhood restaurant own by 3 Korean brothers Dennis, Dan and Dave Lee, from Boston. Sharing their passion for food and keeping their Korean tradition with a twist. The menu changes daily and seasonally. All produce are locally grown and hand choosing by the brothers. Their attention to detail is superb, taste is extravagant.
This is our second time eating here; it’s my annual birthday restaurant. Since my previous birthday restaurant closed down (Pres a Vi) very disappointed, but very happy to find Namu my new fav.
We had a chance to chat with Dave Lee that night. Him and his brothers are so passionate about food, they want to provide and share the best product to their customers. Food is definitely their LOVE and HEART! Many thanks to Dave, keep doing what you guys are doing now, and thanks again for the invite.
We ordered the following:
Plates:
Shiitake dumplings in a dashi mushroom broth
Comfort:
Korean fried chicken w/spicy slaw and pickled daikon
Stonepot w/rice, free range egg, daily vegetables, tofu, kobe steak
Special for the day:
Seared scallops
Hope you enjoy, have a fabulous week. Until next time…Peace Out!
